The following are some important announcements regarding Thursday’s Game Performance, upcoming band booster meeting, the rehearsal day/NFHS Exhibition, and the Olde English Festival of Bands.
Game Information – Thursday, September 6, 2018
Students are dismissed at the 3:37 bell this Thursday. Call time at the RHSD3 Stadium is 6:30PM for all members of the Purple Regiment. Members should be dressed in Summer Uniform. We will perform Part 1 and 2 of the show at halftime. Members are reminded to have all required materials for performance (proper uniform, instrument, folio and lyre, etc.).
Band Booster Meeting – Monday, September 10, 2018 7PM
The NHS Band Boosters will hold their monthly meeting on September 10 at 7PM in the band room. This is an especially important meeting with Olde English coming up this month. We need at least one parent/guardian at this meeting! We appreciate you making this meeting a priority.
Olde English Volunteer Sign-Up Links
This year’s Olde English Festival of Bands will be on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at RHSD3 Stadium. Olde English is a major fundraiser for the band programs at Northwestern High School and Rock Hill High School. The success of this event is dependent on the support of ALL our band parents and band students. Each year there are numerous volunteer opportunities for parents and students. You will not be asked to volunteer all day – but you CAN choose to do that if you want.
Rehearsal Day & Exhibition – Saturday, September 15, 2018
The NHS Band will perform at the Nation Ford High School Band Exhibition on September 15. This is an all-day commitment for our students. Call time for students will be 8:00AM at Northwestern. One of the adjudicators at the exhibition will be with us at 9AM for a clinic with our students. The band boosters will provide a lunch before we travel to Nation Ford High School for our performance. Our performance time is 5:00PM at NFHS. A more detailed itinerary will be available next week.
