As we transition from marching band to concert band, I want to remind you to pay your band fees. Please remember the fee is to be paid by the end of the semester. Ms. Carlson will send balance reminders to all families over the next two weeks. If you have any financial concerns or are not sure if you qualify for assistance through the school district, please call the band office, and we will put you in touch with the Accountability Specialist at the Central Office. We also have assistance available through the booster club for those families who need some help but may not qualify for assistance through the school. You can find additional information HERE.
Announcements and reminders:
- Football game Friday night at D3 Stadium.
- The call time is 6:30 pm.
- We will be in full uniform for pregame and halftime but will change out of the uniforms after halftime and go back in the stands purple band jackets, jeans, and sneakers for the 4th quarter.

- Please be sure the following dates are on your calendars:
- Friday, December 3 – Rock Hill Christmas Parade: mandatory attendance for all students
- Saturday, December 4 – Fruit Delivery: mandatory attendance for all students who sold fruit
- Monday, December 6 – Booster meeting
- Thursday, December 9 – Holiday Concert: mandatory attendance for all wind and percussion students
- Region band auditions are on January 8! The registration deadline is coming up in early November; please register HERE no later than Monday, November 8. The registration fee is $12.00
- Jazz Band rehearsals will start on Tuesday, November 9, at 3:50. Rehearsals will be every Tuesday and Thursday after school through May 5
- The band will perform at all home playoff games. These performances are mandatory for all winds and percussion. If you have a conflict, please contact the band office. All unexcused absences will result in a “0” grade for that performance.
- Winter Guard Auditions have started and will continue in the band room from 5:00 to 8:00 pm through Friday!
- Furman University is hosting a high school band day on November 13. A detailed flyer is clicking here. Please get in touch with Ms. Carlson with any questions!
- The last day to turn in fruit orders is Friday, November 5. Information about the sale and how to order online is available by clicking HERE. Brochures and order forms are also available in the band room. Please be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity to raise money for your child and the band program.
- We still have a few spots available for the spring trip to Williamsburg, Virginia. The trip is April 8-11 and will include visits to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens amusement park, and several other historical and educational locations throughout the weekend. Detailed information is available in the band room or on the website HERE. If you did not get your deposit mailed in, please do so ASAP.
