We are very excited about the turnout we had last night for our first 2022 Purple Regiment music rehearsal! It was great to see the smiles on all of the rising 9th graders’ faces when they finally got their hands on their marching instrument! We’ve also had a great turnout at the guard workshops this week. We can’t wait to see the band continue to grow over the next few weeks!
There are several important deadlines coming up in the next few days that you don’t want to miss. Please be sure to read the below announcements thoroughly!
Additional dates and announcements:
- The Spring Band Cookout is Friday, May 20 at 6 pm at the band field. This is a great chance to welcome our rising 9th-grade families and say farewell to our graduating seniors and their families. Please click HERE to RSVP by the end of the day today, Wednesday, May 18th so we know how many people are planning to attend.
- Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and outdoor games if you would like.
- Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and soft drinks are provided. We ask that families bring salads, fruit, or desserts if possible.
- The deadline for students to submit the Marching Band Registration form and $75.00 camp deposit is Friday, May 20. If you cannot pay the deposit right now please be sure to submit the electronic form HERE and then mail the deposit to the school over the summer.
- We still have a few memory books available. The cost is $40.00. Please bring your payment to Mr. Yost or Ms. Carlson in the band room to receive your book
- Outstanding marching band, jazz band, and winterguard fees need to be paid as soon as possible. Information about past-due fees was mailed in March. If you did not receive this letter, or you have questions about your fees, please contact Mr. Yost or Ms. Carlson.
