We want to start this week by thanking everyone for the support of the mattress sale this past weekend. We will receive a check tomorrow afternoon for $4,887.00 from the sale of 28 mattresses.

A very important Parent Meeting will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 6, as we will finalize plans for the Olde English Festival of Bands. This is a band competition that we cohost with Rock Hill High School. We need every family to help make this event successful and with everyone’s help, the amount of time is kept to a minimum for everyone. Please plan to attend the meeting to hear how you can help, and you may even win a free oil change at Costa Oil (up to an $80 value).
The deadline to submit personal ads for the Olde English program is Friday, September 2nd. Click HERE for additional information and to see examples of ad from previous programs.
We are also looking for volunteers to help finish assembling props. Please plan to attend a work session from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 8th at the band field. Nothing we need to do takes a great deal of skill. We just need some help to get the work done so the students can practice with the props before we put them on the field for a performance.
There will be a volunteer pep band to the Nation Ford game next week, September 9th. The bus will leave at 6:30 from Northwestern and should be back around 11:00 that evening. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the band room on Tuesday, and more detailed information will be included in the next Update.
