CONGRATULATIONS GUARD AND PERCUSSION
Huge congratulations to our NHS Winterguard and our NHS Percussion Ensemble for rocking their first performances of the winter season at the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association (CWEA) Premeire event at Catawba Ridge High School yesterday. Both groups have made great progress from last season and great things are in store for them in 2024.

- Northwestern will host a CWEA show THIS Saturday, February 10.
- This is a GREAT fundraiser for our band program.
- ALL BAND FAMILIES (regardless of instrument) are asked to volunteer for at least one shift.
- Another option – families may contribute a donation if you are unable to be there on Saturday (or you may volunteer AND donate)
- Student volunteer sign ups will be posted in the band room this week.
WAYS TO SIGN UP – (Please choose at least one)
- Sign up to bring a breakfast casserole and/or volunteer to work a 3-hour shift

Please remind your child to choose AT LEAST one shift. - Please send any of the following to the band room with your child this week (BEFORE SATURDAY) to help us provide items for Director Hopitality, Judge Hospitality, and Concessions.
- Cases of brand name soft drinks and water (We need hundeds of these!!!)
- Snack crackers, granola bars, single serving chip bags
- Little Debbie snack cakes
- Candy bars, M&Ms, Skittles, Starbursts, etc.
- Cup cake trays, cookie trays
- Danishes, breakfast pastries
PARENT MEETING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 5 – 7PM
- February parent meeting is Monday, February 5 at 7PM in the NHS Band Room
