DOWNTOWN JAZZ JAM

HAWAII REHEARSALS

Required for all Hawaii musicians: Monday, March 4 – South Pointe High School (6:00-7:30pm with optional informal Parent Q&A at 7:30pm)
Required for all Hawaii performers: Thursday, March 28 – Rock Hill High School (6:00-7:30pm with optional informal Parent Q&A at 7:30pm)

PRE-CPA CONCERT

Tuesday, March 5
Student Call Time – 5:30pm at the Northwestern Band Room (Pizza will be provided)
Concert Begins – 6:30pm in the Northwestern High School Auditorium
Attire – ALL BLACK
- Option 1 (Ladies): Floor length black dress with black dress shoes (not heels)
- Option 2 (Guys or Ladies): black dress pants, black dress socks, black dress shoes, long sleeve black dress shirt
Parents and family are asked to attend this free concert to hear what the students will perform for their state assessment

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10
Three ways to help
- Donate brand name snacks and drinks (drop these off at the NHS Band Room)
- Volunteer to help set up Friday 3/8 (email Heather King at [email protected] to let her know you are willing to help with setup)
- Volunteer a couple of hours (Saturday 3/9, Sunday 3/10)

JAZZ PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT

Solo & Ensemble Signups
- Solos, duets, trios, small groups of friends perform for a rating at Solo & Ensemble Performance Assessment
- $20 for solo (inculdes accompanist)
- $5 per person for ensemble
Jazz & Percussion Night
- This concert will feature our jazz band and percussion ensembles.

Chamber Music Night
- Students will perform solos, duets, trios, jazz combos, and small ensembles.
- Date and details coming soon.
Spring Concert
- Tuesday, April 30
- 7:00pm (Call time 6:30pm)
