Here are a few reminders about our first day of school on Monday, August 20, 2018.
NHS Band Members and Families,
While it was a tough loss for the team, great job band on your behavior and performance at the South Pointe game! We’d also like to thank our drivers and chaperones who provided assistance to the band on Friday night!
As in years past, we will open the band room at 8:10AM for band members only. Please use the door to the back hall of D building (near the auditorium stage roll up door) for access at 8:10AM. Do not stand outside by the purple truck before school. You must be in the interior courtyard area.
Students will not need instruments or a change of clothes for outside rehearsal on the first day of school. All students will be dismissed at the 3:37PM bell on Monday, August 20.
Students will need to be prepared with instruments, a change of clothes, and materials for rehearsal starting this Tuesday. Likewise, our first mandatory evening rehearsal from 6PM-9PM will be on Tuesday.
Mr. Yost and Mr. Tinker will go over a good bit of information in class with students on Monday. Much of this information is emphasized in the band handbook. A reminder to all band members, handbook contracts are due Wednesday this week.
When the bell rings for all students at 8:17, report to your advisory class before going to first block. You will receive a new schedule, which will serve as your official schedule.
Parents: We’ve posted an order form online for family and friends to order the 2018 “Cathedrals” T-Shirt. Additional purple wear items will also be available soon. More info to come…
