Hello Purple Regiment!
Before you read this email, go drink some water.
Ok, now that you’re hydrated, please review the reminders below:
- Plan to arrive at school with enough time to gather your instrument and music and make it to the field before stretching begins at 8:30am. Once you arrive at school, you must stay at school for the entire day.
- Be sure to wear comfortable athletic clothing, sneakers, a hat, and sunscreen every day!
- On THURSDAY we will release students at 7pm to go home, shower, and change clothes
- Students will return to school by 8pm for the induction ceremony in the auditorium. All Freshmen and Sophomores should wear a white shirt Thursday night.
- The band dance will begin immediately after the induction ceremony and will continue until 11pm.
- On FRIDAY we will release students at noon
- Students will need to return to campus by 6pm in khaki shorts and their 2021 show shirt (which will be distributed later this week)
- The annual covered dish dinner and exhibition performance will take place from 6-9pm. Please bring food to share with your family and friends at this event!
- The theme days and menu for the week are available here. Lunch, dinner, and snacks are provided Monday through Thursday. Please be sure to let us know ASAP if you have any dietary or allergy concerns!
- We also need parents to donate desserts for each meal! Cookies, brownies, or anything similar can be dropped of with your student each morning this week.
- Orientation for all band students will take place on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30pm in F Gym. Please double check all communications from Northwestern High School regarding identification and documentation your student needs to bring with them for orientation.
- Sign up for Remind texts with the codes below. If you have signed up for these texts in years past, you still need to sign up again this year to be sure you’re up to date with all of our communications! If you have questions, you can find more info here.

- We will fit all students for a uniform this week. If you need to order marching band shoes or gloves, please fill out the order form here!
