Aloha! As some of you may already know if you saw the board meeting Monday evening, our trip to Hawaii in April of 2024 has been approved! We are working with the travel agent to arrange an official kick-off meeting before the first of the year. At that point, we will have a tentative agenda in place, the trip’s cost, and a payment plan. This trip is a wonderful opportunity, so start saving your pennies so we can all relax on Waikiki Beach in under 18 months. Other news for this week includes:

- RH Christmasville Parade – Friday, December 2
- Football State Championships – Saturday, December 3
- Parent Meeting – Monday, December 5, at 7:00 pm in the band room
- NHS Band Holiday Concert – Thursday, December 8, at 7:30 pm in the NHS Auditorium
Fruit Sale:
The fruit has been ordered, and we are waiting to hear the delivery date. It will most likely be at some point the week of December 5.
Congratulations!
Gracie Grant, Gabrielle Harvey, Stephen Hodges, and Marshall McRae will perform at the Winthrop Invitational Honor Band Concert this Saturday. The concert is FREE in Lois Rhame West Health, Physical Education, and Wellness Center on the Winthrop University campus at 3:00 pm. Jackson Shaw will also perform in Furman University Honors Band Symposium Friday evening, and they join the Paladin Regiment for their halftime performance at the Furman University game Saturday afternoon.

Jazz Band
Jazz Band rehearsals have been moved to Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:15.
Indoor Percussion Ensemble
Be sure to get the registration information submitted before Thanksgiving break. The registration form can be accessed HERE, and the travel permission form for new students is available HERE.
Winter Guard Information
The winter guard registration information was sent to parents this past Monday. Please be sure to submit the forms as soon as possible. The registration form and calendar for all members are available HERE, and the travel permission form for new students is HERE.
Chaperones

Monthly Band Fee Payments
Remember to make your monthly band fee payment. You can pay with cash, check, or money order, place it in an envelope with your child’s name and the payment, and then have your child drop it by the band office. You can also deduct it from your child’s BCP account by filling out the form HERE. Another option is to pay it electronically directly to the school by clicking HERE.
