Marching Band, Member Information
BRASS AND WOODWIND STUDENTS PLEASE ORDER LYRES/FLIP FOLDERS

- Flutes need: flute lyre with flip folder
- Clarinets need: flip folder and clarinet lyre (or Yamaha clarinet lyre if your clarinet is made by Yamaha)
- Saxes need: flip folder and sax lyre
- Trumpets, Horns, and Baritones need: clamp on trumpet lyre with flip folder
- Tubas need: Flute lyre with flip folder (yes, you read that correctly-tubas need the flute lyre with flip folder)
- ALL Brass and Woodwinds should order 10 extra pages
SNACKS AND DRINKS NEEDED
- Please drop off a package of snacks (crackers, granola bars, snack cakes, etc.) AND a case of 8-12 ct sports drink (not soft drinks)
- These will be used to provide snacks to students during the season
- Please send snacks and drinks with your student to either Tuesday or Thursday rehearsal
- We need to get these in this week so we have what we need so we can provide for the students Saturday before and after the football game

- First item is our show shirt for this year (the western design is on the back).
- Family and friends are asked to support the students by wearing this show shirt to marching band performances.
TUESDAY 8/15-Rehearsal
- 6pm-7pm outside to review Parts 1, 2, and 3
- 7pm-8pm winds and percussion in band room with 150 middle school band students to prepare for the football game this Saturday
- Drop off drinks and snacks
THURSDAY 8/17-Teacher Rally (Winds and Percussion only)
- Attire-Kahki shorts, band show shirt for Deadwood 1849, sneakers (not crocs, sandals, or flip flops)
- 9:15am-arrive at Winthrop Coliseum
- 11:30am-pick up students at Winthrop Coliseum
THURSDAY 8/17-Rehearsal
- 6pm-7pm outside to review Parts 1, 2, and 3
- 7pm-8pm winds and percussion in band room with 150 middle school band students to prepare for the football game this Saturday
- Students will receive: shirts for Saturday’s performance and ordered lyres/ flip folders
- Drop off drinks and snacks
SATURDAY 8/19-Keep Pounding Classic Football Game
- 1pm-arrive at NHS Band Room
- Pizza will be provided
- Attire is Keep Pounding Classic t-shirt (provided Thursday), comfortable shorts, and sneakers (not crocks, sandals, or flip flops)
- We will not visit the concession stand at Bank of America Stadium
- Snack will be provided on the buses during our return trip
- 10pm-pick up your child at the NHS Band Room (NOTE-they will likely be hungry as will have only had a snack since our pizza lunch)
